Fun Fact: I played piano and viola for over 10 years!
I always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. After my first job at a coffee shop, I began working with dogs at a kennel located beside a veterinary clinic. Being immersed in that environment and witnessing the day-to-day reality of the clinic, I quickly realized that path wasn’t the right fit for me. But one thing was clear. I still wanted to work with dogs.

Around that time, I brought home Hershey, a 12-pound ball of Yorkshire Terrier energy. It didn’t take long to realize he was far more work than our older 5-pound poodle. That challenge sparked a growing interest in dog training and behaviour.

After graduating high school, I chose to pursue a background in marketing while gaining as much hands-on experience in the dog world as possible. I continued working at the kennel, started dog walking and pet sitting, and volunteered with National Service Dogs.

As the years went on, my passion only grew stronger. I found myself drawn to At the End of My Leash, hosted by Brad Pattison. His approach and dedication to educating owners just made sense to me. After coming across his “Becoming a Dog Trainer” program, I knew I had found my next step. I became certified in 2011 and immediately began building this company through dog walking and training.

A few years later, I adopted my first large breed dog, Brooks, a GSP, who brought new challenges and growth. Both as a trainer and as an owner.

I started this company walking dogs between college classes and often sleeping at clients’ homes more than my own. From my very first employee, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to build a team of dedicated, knowledgeable trainers and walkers who have played a huge role in the company’s growth. Where we are today is truly more than I ever dreamed possible.

Hershey (2024) and Brooks (2025) both lived long, full lives and taught me more than I could ever thank them for. Their impact continues to shape the way I train and connect with every dog I meet.

More recently, I welcomed my son, Everett, in August 2024. A new and exciting chapter that has brought even more perspective, patience, and joy into both life and business.

We’re so glad you’ve found us, and we can’t wait to meet you and your dog.
